MissionCtrl Client Code of Conduct

This Client Code of Conduct ("Code") establishes the standards of behavior required for all clients of MissionCtrl, a platform operated by Gotham West Studios LLC ("MissionCtrl"). By engaging our services, clients agree to comply fully with this Code.
1. Professional Conduct
Clients must engage with MissionCtrl staff, contractors, and representatives in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Hostile, aggressive, abusive, harassing, threatening, or persistently disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Use of abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
- Intimidation, coercion, or other hostile behavior intended to manipulate or pressure staff.
- Consistently combative, accusatory, or hostile tone in communication.
- Misrepresentation of identity, ownership, or authority, including but not limited to:
- Claiming false ownership of content or rights.
- Presenting oneself as a representative of MissionCtrl, Gotham West, or any of our distribution partners (e.g., Vevo, YouTube, Apple) without express written authorization.
- Attempting to circumvent MissionCtrl by engaging directly with distribution partners under false pretenses.
- Submission of fraudulent, infringing, or unlicensed content.
- Manipulation of performance metrics, including but not limited to use of bots, click farms, or artificial streaming tools.
3. Good Faith Requirement
All dealings with MissionCtrl must be conducted in good faith. Clients are expected to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
- Communicate honestly and constructively.
- Refrain from conduct intended to intimidate, pressure, or unfairly manipulate MissionCtrl personnel.
4. Content Integrity & Rights Compliance
- Clients are solely responsible for ensuring they hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for all submitted content.
- Metadata (artist names, collaborators, labels, etc.) must be accurate and not misleading.
- Clients must promptly cooperate with MissionCtrl and distribution partners in responding to DMCA notices, copyright claims, licensing inquiries, or ownership disputes.
- Any misrepresentation of content ownership or rights is grounds for immediate termination.
5. Timely Response Obligations
Clients must respond in a timely manner to all communications from MissionCtrl, including but not limited to:
- Rights verification or ownership disputes.
- DMCA notices, takedown requests, or legal inquiries.
- Business-critical communications impacting distribution.
Failure to provide timely responses may be deemed a violation of this Code.
6. Partner & Legal Compliance
- Clients must comply with the rules, policies, and guidelines of all distribution partners engaged by MissionCtrl (including but not limited to Vevo, YouTube, and Apple).
- Any action by a client that threatens MissionCtrl's relationships with its partners will be treated as a serious breach of this Code.
7. Enforcement
- Violation of this Code may result in suspension of services, termination of services, withholding of content delivery, or, where necessary to address fraud, infringement, or policy violations, notification to distribution partners or relevant industry organizations.
- MissionCtrl is under no obligation to reinstate services once suspended or terminated.
- MissionCtrl retains sole discretion in determining whether conduct violates this Code.
8. Final Authority
MissionCtrl has final authority over the interpretation and enforcement of this Code.
9. Disclaimer
This Code supplements, and does not replace, the MissionCtrl Terms of Service and any other applicable agreements. Nothing in this Code shall be construed to limit MissionCtrl's rights under applicable law or to create obligations beyond those required by law. MissionCtrl reserves all rights and remedies available at law or in equity.
